LeveragePoint Connects Under the Mokolodi Sunset

As 2024 neared its end, LeveragePoint, known for developing bespoke software solutions like web and mobile apps, set aside time for an important non-work activity. On December 18th, the company organised a team-building event at the Mokolodi Game Reserve, offering a chance for employees to connect, celebrate the year’s efforts, and relax before the Christmas holidays.

The afternoon began around 4 pm with a game drive, a welcome change of scenery for the team. While we missed a few colleagues who couldn’t join, most of us were there, ready for the experience. Being out in the reserve provided a refreshing break, and there was genuine excitement in spotting wildlife, including sightings of rhinos and giraffes. Our guide led us through the reserve as the afternoon light softened, allowing us to enjoy the drive right through to a lovely sunset.

Arriving at the hilltop restaurant location, we paused to take in the impressive views over the reserve as dusk settled. It was a great spot for photos, and we made sure to capture the moment, including a memorable group picture [as seen in the accompanying post]. Following the photo session, we gathered in the dining area for a bush braai (BBQ). The team enjoyed the delicious buffet and the relaxed, pleasant atmosphere, sharing stories and conversation.

The evening continued with some interactive fun. We split into two teams for a spirited but friendly trivia game. Reflecting our professional drive, the competition was lively, yet the main takeaway was the shared enjoyment and plenty of laughs throughout the game.

To cap off the event, our Managing Director shared some warm closing remarks, thanking the team for their contributions during the year and extending holiday wishes.

Experiences like the Mokolodi trip are truly valuable for the team at LeveragePoint. They are important opportunities to strengthen professional relationships in a relaxed setting. Sharing these kinds of positive experiences helps build companionship, improves communication, and boosts overall team morale, which are benefits that carry back into our collaborative work environment.

It’s a meaningful way for the company to show appreciation and invest in its team culture, and a rewarding way to conclude the work year, leaving us feeling more connected as a team as we headed off for the festive break.

I need to write an article about the team building we had back on the 18th of December 2024 here at LeveragePoint.
